Federer Breezez Into French Open Third Round

The 17 times grand slam champion Swiss master Roger Federer recorded his 898th victory of his career in second round of French Open 2013.  He beat Indian Samdev Devarman in less than one and half hours.  He beat Devarman by 6-2 6-1 6-1.  He conceded just four games to move ahead( one less than that of the first round).  He played an aggressive tennis and gave no chance to Devarman.  Devarman put some resistance on Federer's serve and produced three break points.  All these break points were save by Federer in style.

In the whole match Federer fire 52 winners as compared to Devarman's only 12.  This shows that how attacking he is playing.  He is again looking like a man to beat.  Federer produced 14 break points out of which he converted 7.  Now he has to face home favourite French man Julien Bennetau.  Julien is familiar with Federer and he knows how to beat him.  He did so in February early this year.  He beat Federer in Rotterdam by 6-3 7-5.

He was only two points from victory at Wimbledon 2012 to pull huge upset.  He was two sets to love up but he could not close the match.  Now Federer is playing at a high level.  He has to make short work of Julien to get himself fresh to meet bigger challengers.  For this Federer has to maintain this level of play.

Federer To Face Indian Hope In Second Round Of French Open 2013

The no 2 at French Open 2013 has to face a man from second largest country of the world India.  He has to face biggest indian hope in tennis Samdev Devarman.  Samdev has to qualify for this tournament this year.  He worked hard to reach at this spot.  His hard work gave him an opportunity to face all times great Roger Federer, who is looking in good shape.  Although everyone would bet in favour of Federer, but Samdev would try to learn more lessons and will give all he has in this match.

Samdev is currently 188 in Emirated Atp Rankings.  He has won 9 and lost 7 matches this year so far.  He will have to work hard to just tease Federer and make his victory tough.  Tennis world is thinking that this match would be one sided, but all Indians are hoping for more from their tennis hero.  Now all Indian nation is looking toward Samdev to display the best tennis of his life against best player of tennis history.
The Chennai veteran's highest ranking was 66.  He never won a tilte on tour.  But

he has ability to tease Federer.  The only way he can make his way to this match is his serve.  He has to hold his serve without any serious trouble and create his chances in tie breaks.  He has to show mental toughness even when he loses a set.  Because Federer is front runner, once he dominates the match, the whole match went into his favour.

French Open 2013 " The Draw"

The men singles draw of 2013 Frech Open has been out.  Now a long wait of tennis fans has come to an end.  This draw shows that 2013 French Open will not be less than an epic.  Below is detailed draw analysis has been given.

Novak Djokovic's Quarter:
Novak Djokovic have to face young tennis star from Belgium David Goffin in the first round.  He will made short work of David, it is sure.  In the second round he can face Ivan Doding of Croatia, against whome he will cruise, because i don't think Dodig can create any problem for world no 1.  In the third round he can either face Dimitrov or Alexander Dolgopolve, both are tricky players, but Nole will handle them with beauty.  In the fourth round his possible opponents may be , Tommy Haas or Kohlshrieber.  In the quarter finals he can face fellow Serbian Janko Tipserevic or John Isner.  His quarter shows he will cruise into the semis wihout any seriour trouble.

Rafael Nadal's Quarter"
In the first round Nadal has to face unknown Daniel Brands of Germany.  In the second round his possible opponent may be Kizan or Micheal Russel of USA.  In the third round he can face Paire of France who was semi finalist in Rome last week.  In the fourth round he can Japanese veteran Kie Nishikori who is in good form, he beat Federer in Madrid.  But Nadal will handle smartly this short man too.  In the quarter finals he can face home favourite Richard Gasquet or Stanilas Wawrinka.  So overall good draw for Nadal and he will also looking to cruise into the semis.

Roger Federer's Quarter:
Roger Federer seeded no 2 at this year's French Open, thanks to Murray's injury, who is not in the draw.  Federer first and second round opponent will be a qualifier.  In the third round he can face tricky opponent Julien Benneteau, against whome Federer frequently struggled.  Julien has beaten Federer at Rotterdam this year.  So this match will be a tricky one.  In the fourth round he can face another French man Gilles Simon or  Marin Cilic, both are tricky players. But Federer handled both of these guys really well in the past.  In the quarterfinals he has to face another most favourite French man Jo Wilfried Tsonga, who had match points against Djokovic last year but could not close out the match.  Federer has to work hard to save energy for bigger competitions.

David Ferrer's Quarters:
David Ferrer seeded 4th.  In the first round he has to get past Matosevic of Australia.  In the second round he has to face Albert Montanes of Spain.  In the third round, he may face Michael Granollers.  In the fourth round he has to face big serves of Milos Raonic, this will an intersting match to see in early rounds.  In the quarter finals there will be a huge battle between him and Tomas Berdych, who is in the impressive form.  Because he beat Djokovic at Rome last week.  It would be tough challenge for Ferrer to beat Czech.

Semi Finals:
Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic
Roger Federer vs David Ferrer

Djokovic Will Spoil Nadal's Celebrations At French Open 2013

Novak Djokovic is the only man in the field of 120 men singles draw, who can stop Rafael Nadal from winning his 8th and 5th consecutive French Open title.  Nadal has already made history at this tournament last year by winning this slam a record seven times.  Now he is looking to extend his record this year.  No one is looking to stop him from achieving this fate except Djokovic.  Nadal is best player of the year so far, because he has won six titles out of which five titles are on clay.

He lost just one match at Monte Carlo against Djokovic.  Djokovic is the only man who stopped Nadal again and again to win more and more tiltles.  Their head to head record speaks itself.  Although Nadal leads heaed to head by 19-15.  But Djokovic's record against Nadal for last two and half years is the best record than any other player on the tour.  In 2011 he beat Nadal in six straight finals including two finals on clay i-e at Madrid and Rome.  Also he beat him at Wimbledon and French Open finals.  Then in 2012 he beat Nadal again at Australian Open final, which was longest final match in tennis history.  It was six hours battle, which was won by Djokovic.

If we see their rivalry in finals for last two years and half, Djokovic is far away ahead.  Djokovic has won 8 of last 12 finals that he played against king of clay.  Out these three victories were on clay.  In last year French Open, he would be perhaps champion if rain did not interrupt the play.  He won eight straight games and won third set by 6-2, but rain broken his monmentum, and next day Nadal won the title in 4th set by 7-5.  If rain was not there result would be different.

Djokovic is the only man who beat Nadal on three clay finals.  And surely he will be hungry to complete
Nole slam at French Open 2013.  And nothing can stop him, if he determined to do something.  His mental toughness separates him from other men on the tour.  And he has all qualities to beat Nadal at French Open. His backhand is most impressive on the tour.  He can go toe to toe with Nadal in rallies.  Unlike Federer he does not commit a lot of errors despite playing attacking tennis.  Therefore, he will end run of Nadal at this year's French Open and complete his career slam.

How Can Federer Win At French Open 2013?

Roger Federer is playing at French Open 2013 14th time in his career.  This is the slam in which he has worst record.  Because he won this slam only once in 2009.  He was also runner up four times against Rafael Nadal.  Whenever he played well and tried to create opportunity for himself at this tournament, he was stopped by Nadal again and again.  Even during his pomp Federer could not beat the king of clay.  Moreover, he could not take Nadal to even five sets.  If Nadal was not there, Federer would be perhaps the best player of this tournament also.  And his slams would be more than 20.  So his main problem is again Rafael Nadal.  Now Federer fans are looking him again to do well in the tournament.  But it is looking very difficult for him to win this tournament.  But his chances of winning are still there.  But there
should be something special need to happen in this tournament.  Lets take a look.

1) Kind Draw:
The first and foremost thing for Federer's performance is the draw.  The draw should be such that he will not have to face tough or seeded player at least in first four round.  And he should make the short work of early opponent to get prepared or tougher opponent in quarters and semis.  The most important thing is that in which half will he be drawn.  He will be seeded no 3 at 2013 French Open.  He will be either drawn in Djokovic's half or Murray's, which is a good sign, because he will not have to face Nadal before the final.  He should win at least in straight sets till quarter finals, in order to face Murray or Djokovic against whome is considered as underdog.  Therefore a kind draw will be the first step towards his victory.

2) Early Exit Of Nadal:

The only French Open 2009, in which Nadal was ousted in 4th round.  And Federer stole the French Open that year.  If he did not suffer early exit, then Federer perhaps never win this tournament.  This year the same situation can be built. It looks impossible that Nadal will suffer early exit, but anything can happen.  I think early exit of Nadal will increase 50 percent chances of Federer to steal the second French Open as he did in 2009.

3) Get Cheap Points On Serve:

Federer's serve is most important tool to win in short time.  Federer is front runner and his serve plays an important role in this regard.  He should increase firt serve %age and get cheap points on serve.  For this purpose, he should make use of  net and drop shots, which are risky approaches but he can make use of those weapons with disguise.

4) Use Forehand During Rally:

Federer won 17 grand slam titles, because of his best ever forehand in tennis history.  His backhand does not suit to dirt, but he can compensate this deficiency by using forehand frequently.  He plays an attacking game due to which he commits a lot of unforced errors.  He should play attacking but at the same time he should be defensive when it needed.  He should cut down unforced errors especially from backhand wing.  This is only way to win long rallies, which are the part of clay courts of Paris.

5) Make Full Use Of Break Points Opportunities:
Federer's coach Annacone is criticized because he did not groom Federer on break point opportunities.  To win a large contest break points are considerer as defining opportunities of the match.  He should make full use of those opportunities.  He did well at Rome till semi finals.  Because he did not lose a single set.  He converted most of break points he produced.  These are main this, if these things happen at French Open, then it is not difficult to say that Federer will lift his 18th grand slame title in 2013.

Nadal Hammered Federer To Win Rome 2013

Rafael Nadal again proved himself as king of clay.  He showed at Rome that he is again strong contender for Frech Open 2013.  He also proved himself greated nemesis for Federer.  It was their 30th meeting.  With this win Nadal leads head to head by 20-10.  He beat Federer by 6-1 6-3.  In the whole match he gave no chance to Federer to even think about coming back in the match.  Federer hold very first game of the match.  But after that he lost 9 straight games.  During which he lost first set by 6-1.  His serve was broken three times in first set.

In the second set, Federer put some pressure on Nadal's serve but all in vain.  Nadal saved couple of break points that he faced in that game and hold his serve.  After that Federer again continued to lose his games.  At last he hold his serve at 3-1 in the second set.  Nadal again hold his serve and got 4-1 lead.  Nadal broke Federer again to get a chance to serve for the match.

But surprisingly he lost his concentration and lost his serve to love.  Federer hold his serve to get scoreboard to 5-3.  That was the only moment for Federer fans to cheer.  But when Nadal served for the match second time he closed the match by 6-1 6-3.  Federer could not do anything in front Nadal's winners, court covering and enthusiasm.  This is Nadal's 6th title of the season.  A great come back

!  Now Nadal has climbed up to no 4 in the ranking.  Now he will be seeded no 4 at French Open 2013, which is a very good sign before the start of second grandslam of the year.

Federer Made Short Work Of Simon Nadal Struggled Against Qualifier

The world no 3 and no 2 seed Roger Federe continued his impressive performance at Internationl Bnl d,Italia Rome.  He beat Gilles Simon the French veteran by 6-1 6-3.  In the whole match there was all over Federer.  Federer gave no chance to Simon to even think of getting back into the match.  His serve was impressive in the whole match.  He did not face a single break in the whole match.  He won 10 of 12 points of his second serve.

He fired 22 winners.  He converted 4 of 8 break points that he produced.  He continued to hold serve by getting cheap points and tease Simon on his serve.  Therefore it took him just 61 minutes to get rid of French man and safely through to the quartefinals, wherer he will face rising star Jerzy Janowics.  Federer is bidding to win his first title at Rome.
In the other match Nadal was struggling with his game.  His performance against qualifier Gulbis raised questions about his performace at French open, whic is starting in just 10 days.  Nadal overcome a huge threat by 1-6 7-5 6-4.  In the first set Gulbis conquered the field and won first five games and got 5-0 lead against Nadal.  Then Nadal hold the serve to get respectibility on scoreboard.  After that Gulbis served out for the set and took the set by 6-1.

In the second set Nadal started to focus on his own serve and set went with serve until Nadal was leading 6-5 and Gulbis was serving to stay in the set, Nadal jumped upon that opportunity and took that set 7-5 breaking Gulbis serve.  In the third set same thing was happened when Gulbis was serving to stay in the match at 5-4, Nadal broke him again to seal the victory.  Gulbis performance was excellent.  He fired 16 aces, his total points were 2 more than that of Nadal.  Anyhow scoreboard favoured Nadal.  Now Nadal will face fellow Spaniard David Ferrer in Quarters.

Federer's Victory At Rome Shows He Is Man To Beat

Roger Federer has seen so many disappointments in 2013.  He could not reach in final of a single tournament that he played.  His 3rd round exit last week at Madrid against Nishikori was insult to injury.  But Federer is the man who always learnt from his defeats, which is secret of his success.  He came back strong at Rome and beat Starac by 6-1 6-2.  He conceded just three games in whole match.  He was looking like a true champion there, because his performance was flawless.

It took Federer only 51 minutes to beat Starac.  Federer serve was impressive in whole match.  He faced only two break points that he saved in style.  He lost only 2 points on his second serve.  He first serve %age was also above 75%.  He fired 4 aces including one which was at match point.  Federer return game was also impressive he broke Starac serve 4 times in the match.  He teased Starac again and again on his serve.  Starac had no answer to Federer's accuracy and ground strokes.  Federer hit 36 winners of both of his wings i-e Forehand and backhand.  He committed just 8 unforced errors.  All these statistics show that he is man to beat at Rome.
If he manages to win this tournament, then it will be his first title at Rome in 12 appearances.  In other matches Murray ousted by Granollers due hip injury.  Nadal beat Fognini comprehensively.  With Murray's exit Federer's road to the final is looking very clear.  If he countinue this performance then he will surely make the first final of 2013.
